Private GP Appointments
Dr Jenni combines both traditional medicine – what you might experience in an NHS GP practice – with personalised medicine, creating a focus on prevention of diseases and their symptoms through nutrition, therapeutic diet and exercise, use of the latest laboratory testing and other diagnostic techniques, prescribed combinations of drugs and/or other medicines, supplements, detoxification programs, and stress-management techniques.
Dr Jenni has a particular interest in womens health and hormones, using her expert knowledge to guide countless patients through menopause.
Private GP Appointments with Dr Jenni
At The Dr Jenni Clinic, we understand the importance of being able to see a GP discreetly and conveniently, without the need for long waiting lists or rushed appointments.
We believe that everyone deserves a thoughtful, personalised approach to their healthcare, at times that suit their schedule, within in a relaxing, welcoming space that feels anything but like a ‘normal’ GP surgery.
We know that there are a number of different reasons why you might decide to pay to see a private GP:
- You may wish to have more time than NHS GP appointments allow, to discuss a particular issue.
- You may have found yourself unable to find a doctor that you feel comfortable with or whom you feel understands you.
- You might be visiting from another country or another part of the UK and don’t have access to your regular GP when you need it.
- You could be seeking a second opinion or have been unable to get an appointment with your usual doctor within a suitable time frame.
Whatever your reason for booking a private GP appointment with Dr Jenni, she is ready to help you.
Dr Jenni can provide flexibility in terms of availability and appointment length – in fact, it may be possible to see Dr Jenni within 24 – 48 hours of your initial enquiry.

Will it affect my relationship with my NHS GP if I have a private GP appointment with Dr Jenni?
No, it will not affect your relationship with your NHS GP at all. We actively encourage you to remain registered with your NHS doctor and in many situations, it is crucial that you do. If you give permission, Dr Jenni can access your previous medical records and inform your GP of your appointment with her, which may help ensure that you receive the very best care, all round.
That said, your comfort is paramount and you are the leader of your own health journey. So, if you would prefer your appointment with Dr Jenni to remain confidential, she will ensure that it is kept that way.
Do you provide appointments for children?
Yes, Dr Jenni can see children of any age.
Do I have to pay extra for a private prescription?
While your private prescription itself is included in the cost of your consultation, you will usually be charged by the pharmacy of your choice for the medicine itself. Dr Jenni may be able to provide you with an estimate of the cost of the medicine, however different dispensing pharmacies will charge different amounts for some medicines. You will be charged for any repeat prescriptions you require.
It is not possible for Dr Jenni to write a private prescription for medication if you have not had a private GP appointment with her.
Repeat prescriptions
If you have had a prescription from Dr Jenni previously and your medication is still required or is required on an ongoing basis, she can provide you with a repeat prescription without having to have another appointment, although sometimes a review appointment is necessary.
When we receive your request for a repeat private prescription, we will make it available for you to collect from The Dr Jenni Clinic at your convenience, within 48 hours, or we can also arrange for your medication to be delivered directly to your home address.
How long do I need?
GP appointments can only be booked in blocks of 30 minutes. If your appointment runs over the 30 minute time, an additional 30 minute appointment will be charged providing there is capacity at the time to continue. If you have a complex issue, or wish to have longer than 30 minutes, please book as such to avoid disappointment.
