Polynucleotide Therapy
Regenerative Skin Treatment for Natural Radiance
Polynucleotide Therapy is an advanced regenerative treatment designed to restore hydration, elasticity and radiance by supporting the skin’s natural repair processes. Rather than masking signs of ageing or changing your facial features, polynucleotides work at a cellular level to strengthen and rejuvenate the skin itself. The result is smoother, more resilient skin with improved texture, hydration and luminosity.
This treatment is particularly popular with women who want fresh, healthy-looking skin without an artificial or over-treated appearance, something we pride ourselves on here at The Dr Jenni Clinic.
Why Skin Changes Over Time
Many women notice subtle changes in their skin over time, including:
- Dullness and loss of radiance
- Dehydration and fine lines
- Delicate or crepey skin around the eyes
- Reduced elasticity
- A tired appearance despite feeling well
These changes occur as collagen production slows and the skin’s natural repair mechanisms become less efficient. Polynucleotide Therapy helps support these natural processes, allowing the skin to repair, regenerate and restore itself from within.
What Are Polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides are highly purified fragments of DNA derived from salmon (fish) sources and processed for medical use. These molecules have been widely studied for their regenerative properties and their ability to support tissue repair and healing. When carefully injected into the skin, polynucleotides help to:
- Stimulate fibroblast activity (the cells responsible for collagen production)
- Improve hydration within the skin
- Support collagen and elastin formation
- Strengthen the skin’s structure and elasticity
- Reduce inflammation and oxidative stress within the skin
Unlike dermal fillers, which add volume, polynucleotides improve the health and quality of the skin itself.
Over time, this leads to smoother, stronger and more hydrated skin with a natural glow.
The Benefits You May Notice
Our patients commonly notice:
- Brighter, fresher-looking skin
- Improved hydration and radiance
- Smoother texture
- Softer fine lines
- Improved elasticity and firmness
- Healthier, more resilient skin overall
The effect is subtle but transformative – skin that looks naturally luminous and well-rested.
Areas That Can Be Treated
Polynucleotide Therapy can be used to improve skin quality in several areas, including:
- Face
- Under-eye area (popular)
- Neck
- Décolletage
The treatment is particularly effective for under-eye rejuvenation, where the skin is delicate and prone to fine lines and crepiness.
Your Treatment Journey
Your treatment begins with a medical consultation to assess your skin and discuss your goals.
Treatment – The procedure involves a series of small injections placed into the skin using a very fine needle.
Recovery -Temporary swelling or small bumps at the injection sites are common and usually settle within 24–72 hours.
Results – Skin gradually becomes more hydrated, resilient and radiant as collagen production and tissue repair improve.
Your Treatment Plan
For optimal results we recommend:
Course of 3 treatments: £750
Treatments are typically spaced 2–4 weeks apart.
This allows the skin to gradually rebuild hydration, collagen and elasticity.
To maintain the benefits, a maintenance treatment approximately every 6 months is recommended.
Maintenance treatment: £250
Many patients choose to include our Polynucleotide Therapy as part of their long-term skin health and rejuvenation plan.

All injectable treatments at The Dr Jenni Clinic are carried out following a medical consultation and consent process to ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for you.
Polynucleotide Therapy may not be suitable if you:

Frequently Asked Questions
What are polynucleotides made from?
Polynucleotides used in aesthetic medicine are derived from highly purified salmon DNA. The purification process removes proteins and allergens, leaving small DNA fragments that support skin regeneration and repair.
Patients with a known fish or salmon allergy should not have this treatment.
Will this change the shape of my face?
No. Polynucleotide Therapy does not add volume or alter facial structure. Instead, it improves skin quality, hydration and elasticity, resulting in a fresher, healthier appearance.
Does the treatment hurt?
Most patients find the treatment very tolerable. A topical numbing cream can be applied beforehand if required. Small temporary bumps or swelling at injection sites are normal and usually settle within a few days.
When will I see results?
Some patients notice improved hydration within the first few weeks.
However, the regenerative effects develop gradually, with optimal results typically appearing 4–8 weeks after completing the treatment course.
Is there any downtime?
Downtime is minimal. Mild swelling, redness or small bumps may occur immediately after treatment and usually resolve within 24–72 hours.
